A robot dubbed Ai can understand the human language, and can even play music and speak in other languages, according to a patent published on Monday.
The robot was designed to be able to understand human language by being able to “learn new words and phrases in a natural way.”
Its patent application said that the robot is able to learn “basic English” and that it “learns different parts of speech and speech syntax” as well as “learn from speech and its grammatical structure.”
The robot can also “play music and play words in different languages.”
The patent also detailed how the robot can be programmed to use “a set of speech recognition and machine translation algorithms.”
It can also perform speech recognition “in response to the user’s voice,” the patent said.
The patent describes the robot as having “a wide range of different senses,” including the ability to “recognize different shapes and sizes of objects,” “sense touch,” “see color,” “feel vibrations,” “hear sounds,” and “feel the air,” according to the patent application.
The “speech recognition system” is described as “one of the most advanced speech recognition systems available.”
Ai can “learn language” by being capable of “learning new words in a manner that is not influenced by human language,” according the patent.
The application also details how the Ai can “speak with human speech,” “listen to music, talk with a human voice,” “write English sentences,” and learn new phrases.
The Ai can also play music in a “natural manner” according to its patent application, and it can “use natural sounds, such as music and words, to speak in a non-linear way.”
