A few months ago, I posted a recap of the season 6 premiere of Game of Thrones, which I thought was a good idea.
Then I heard about a similar recap, and I had to go back and rewatch the episode again.
I loved it.
So when the third episode of season 7 came out, I jumped right into it.
I was ready to see how the story went and what the repercussions would be.
The show has always been a bit of a spoiler-fest, but I don’t think I’ve ever read a spoiler in an episode of Game, so I had a bit more leeway.
This episode is, in fact, a bit darker than the previous ones, and it’s the first time we’ve seen Bran Stark and the rest of the Lannisters try to find a way to escape the Wall.
It’s also the first episode where we get to see Cersei Lannister, her family, and her son Tyrion fighting against their captors.
I can’t really speak to how well it was received by critics, but if you were to give it the same score as last week’s episode, you’d be rewarded with this spoiler-free episode.
Game of Throne spoilers for Season 7: 1.
Bran Stark is still the king.
Bran, the son of Jaime and Cersei, is in fact king now.
He’s not as powerful as he was in the books, and Cercyn is still at the council, but Bran is now king.
He has the Iron Throne and the Lannister family is at war.2.
Tyrion is back.
I’m not going to say much about his storyline this week, except to say that his storyline is pretty dark.
The other characters will get to tell us what happens to Tyrion in the season finale.3.
Jon Snow is back with his father, Davos Seaworth.
Jon is Jon Snow, the Stark son and the youngest of the Seven.
He is now the Stark protector and the most powerful member of the family.
Jon has a history of killing, which will continue this season.4.
Jon’s mother and sister will both be back.
Jon and Lyanna are both sisters, so their storylines will likely stay the same.5.
The Hound is back as a playable character.
He hasn’t been around in season 7, but he is back for a major plot point.
He and Brienne will continue to fight on the Iron Islands.6.
Cersei and Baelish are going to get a bit better in the future.
Baelas and Cerwyn are both old enough to be his siblings.
They have a history together, so it’s possible we will see some of their storylines from this season unfold.7.
We’ll finally get to meet Daenerys Targaryen.
We know she’s not the only one with a secret identity in Westeros, but we won’t get to find out what she’s doing with her other half until season 8.8.
Daenery will also get a storyline.
She’s been seen in flashbacks, and we don’t know much about her past.
We don’t even know if she is still alive.
We have to assume she’s dead and that’s the last we’ll get to know her.9.
The Red Wedding is finally coming to an end.
I won’t say how good this storyline is, but it’s pretty solid.
I think we’ll see more of Daeneries backstory in season 8, especially as she continues to grow and learn more about her heritage.10.
We get to get to learn about Arya Stark.
Arya is not only a powerful woman, but also a powerful person.
She has an incredible backstory and will likely be a central character in season 9.11.
Sansa Stark is back and her storyline will be a lot more interesting.
Sansas father Jon was killed when she was a child, and she now has to figure out how to survive.
She and her sister Sansa will have to work together in the wake of Jon’s death to try and survive the end of the world.12.
Sansha will be reunited with Jon.
I don.t. know if they will be back together, but Jon will still be the Stark patriarch.
I expect that Sansa’s storyline will still involve Jon, and that we will learn more of Sansa.13.
Aryas storyline will also have a major twist.
We will get a better look at Arya’s character.
Arys storyline will not only reveal more of her backstory, but she will also go to Winterfell with the Boltons.14.
Jon will become a more prominent character in the show.
We won’t know if Jon is a real character or just a show thing, but the reveal of his backstory will give viewers a good look at the dynamic between Jon and his sister.15.
We finally get
