What’s the best phone to buy?
On June 6th, HTC and LG announced that the two brands will team up to create the world’s first fusion smartphone, dubbed the Huatong X5, in a bid to offer a more affordable alternative to the more expensive Huawei Honor 5X.
The Huatang X5 will be a hybrid smartphone featuring a 13MP primary camera, 5MP front camera and a dual-lens design, and will also sport a fingerprint scanner.
This will be followed by a dual rear-facing camera and the release of a 3,400mAh battery, though this will be limited to China and Taiwan only.HTC is also set to launch the Huattu X2, which it hopes to offer as the successor to the Huaxon X2.
This is likely to be the first smartphone to feature a 5.2-inch, 1080p IPS LCD display and a Snapdragon 808 processor, though it may not be a flagship in the world of smartphone technology.
LG is expected to launch its new flagship, the LG V20, on June 12th, but this is expected only in China and the US, where LG is currently in the midst of the G5 launch.
